(402) Five steps for the daily face skin regime.      

1) Face scrub : Clean face with face scrub like idli batter or curd with rice flour for 2-3 minutes. Wash with water.               

2) Toner:  Apply home made  toner 2 times a day ½ cup water+½ tsp glycerine+ 3-5 drops of lemon juice. Mix thoroughly and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.    

 3) Vit. C serum:   Apply home made serum twice a day after 5 minutes when toner is completely absorbed by facial skin.  2 vit.C tablets + 1 tbsp. glycerine + 1 vit. E capsule +1 tbsp. Aloe vera gel. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.     

4)Under eye cream:  Apply home made under eye cream every 6 hrs. if possible.1 tsp. Aloe vera gel+ oil from Vit. E capsule. Mix thoroughly and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.               

5) Moisturizer:   Apply at least two times any good  moisturizer.

(401) Condensed Milk

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of full fat milk.
  • ⅔ cup Sugar.

Method

  1. In a big nonstick pan starts boiling  milk and sugar.
  2. Stir continuously for  15 minutes on a fast flame.
  3. Turn the flame to slow and boil milk for 15 minutes.
  4. Check the thickness of milk by making a line with your finger on the spatula. 
  5. Hold the spatula upright position, if milk will not run downward which shows condensed milk consistency is perfect.
  6. Switch off the flame and keep stirring for 10 minutes or till milk cools completely otherwise cream will separate.
  7. Store home made condensed milk in a glass container for 15 days in the refrigerator and prepare your and your loved one’s favourite recipes from it.

(400) Kaju Anjeer Modak

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cashew powder.( Kaju)
  • ½ cup Figs.(Anjeer)

Method

  1. Dry roast Cashews and grind it in pulse mode and keep aside.
  2. Wash Figs thoroughly 2-3 times  and roughly chop into small pieces.
  3. Grind the Figs and keep aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl mix both ingredients and knead into soft  dough like consistency.
  5. Taste  dough, if you want more sweet then add 1 spoon Date syrup and by adding  syrup if it become sticky then mix  2- 3 spoon  extra Cashew powder.
  6. Make Kaju Anjeer modak with the help of modak mould. Apply ghee on the mould to get proper shape and shine to the modak.
  7. Offer Kaju Anjeer modak with love, faith and devotion.

(399) Kesar Paneer Modak

Ingredients

  • 200 g. Paneer
  • ½ cup Milk powder
  • ¼ cup Powdered Sugar.
  • 1 tsp. Cardamom powder.
  • Pinch of Saffron strands.

Method

  1. In mortar add ½ spoon of milk and pinch of Saffron strands. With the help of pastel levigate saffron and keep aside.
  2. Grate paneer with cheese grater and keep aside.
  3. In a nonstick pan mix all ingredients and then cook it on a slow flame till it leaves the pan and gather to make a ball.
  4. Switch off the flame and keep aside to cool down.
  5. Make  Kesar Paneer Modak with the help of modak mould.
  6. Offer Kesar Paneer Modak to Ganpati Bappa with love, faith and devotion.

(398) Peanut Modak

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Roasted Peanuts.
  • ½ cup  Sugar.
  • 2 tbsp. Ghee.
  • 1 tbsp. Dry Ginger powder ( optional)

Method

  1. Roast peanuts in a nonstick pan.
  2. Remove the skin of peanuts.
  3. Grind peanuts and sugar together in a mixture grinder.
  4. In a big mixing bowl mix peanut and sugar powder with ghee and dry ginger powder.Make modak with the help of modak mould.
  5. Offer Peanut Modak to Ganpati Bappa with love faith and devotion.

(397)Choco Paneer Modak

Ingredients

Method

  1. Grate Paneer with Cheese grater and keep aside.
  2. Grind Sugar into fine powder and keep aside.
  3. In a big mixing bowl mix all ingredients with the help of a spoon. Donot mix with the hand as the warmth of the hand will cause it to soften and release water.
  4. Make Choco paneer modak with the help of modak mould.
  5. Offer Choco Paneer Modak to Ganpati Bappa with love, faith and devotion.

(396) Besan Modak

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chana dal coarse flour.
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Milk
  • 4 tbsp. Ghee
  • 1 tsp. Cardamom powder


Method

  1. Heat ghee in a  thick bottom kadhai and add chana dal coarse flour in it.
  2. Patiently roast on a slow flame .
  3. When colour changes from light yellow to golden brown, add milk in it and again roast .
  4. Stir continuously and when the water contents of  milk completely evaporates turn the flame off.
  5. Transfer the roasted besan in a big mixing bowl and keep aside for 5-6 hours  to cool down.
  6. Grind sugar into fine powder and keep aside.
  7. After 6 hours mix powdered sugar and Cardamom powder and make modak out of it.
  8. Offer Besan Modak to Ganpati Bappa with love, faith and devotion.
Golden brown colour of roasted flour.

(395)Daliya dal Modak.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Daliya Dal
  • ½ cup Jaggery.
  • 4 tbsp. Ghee

Method

  1. Dry roast daliya dal on slow flame and keep aside.
  2. Finely chop jaggery and keep aside.
  3. Make a coarse powder of daliya dal in a mixture grinder.
  4. In a big mixing bowl  mix daliya dal powder with ghee and chopped jaggery .
  5. Patiently mix jaggery with powder   and when you will get smooth shiny dough then make modak out of it.
  6. Offer Daliya dal modak to Ganpati Bappa with love, faith and devotion.

(394)Kaju Modak

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Kaju ( Cashew nut) powder.
  • ½ cup Milk powder
  • 5 tbsp. powdered Sugar
  • 3 tbsp. Milk( at room temperature)
  • 1 tsp. Ghee to smooth the dough.

Method

  1. Dry roast Cashews and keep aside.
  2. Before grinding make sure Cashew nuts are at room temperature.
  3. Grind Cashews in pulse mode otherwise oil oozes out.
  4. Grind Sugar into fine powder and keep aside.
  5. In a big mixing bowl  mix Cashew powder, Milk powder, Sugar powder and Cardamom powder
  6. Add milk in the mixing bowl and knead a soft dough.
  7. For giving shine and smooth consistency apply 1 tsp ghee on the dough.
  8. Make  Modak out of it.
  9. If you like more sweet taste and some dry texture then sprinkle some sugar powder over it.
  10. Offer Kaju Modak to Ganpati Bappa with love, faith and devotion.

(393)Churma Modak.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Churmu.
  • 1 ¼ cup Jaggery.
  • 4 tbsp. Ghee.
  • 2 tbsp. Poppy seeds.
  • ½ Nutmeg
  • Modak mould.

Method

  1. In a big mixing bowl mix  Churma with Poppy seeds.
  2. Heat ghee in a thick bottom kadhai and mix finely chopped Jaggery.
  3. Once jaggery starts melting switch off the flame.
  4. Mix melted jaggery with churma.
  5. Mix grated Nutmeg with churma.
  6. With the help of modak mould make modak from the churma. ( see video)
  7. Offer Modak to Ganpati Bappa with love, faith and devotion.
